Chuck Loesch
Chuck is pretty much “that guy” who’s been around the Austin metal scene for longer than anyone knew there was an ‘Austin Metal Scene.’
After a bunch of years at college radio in San Marcos, Chuck graduated to the 101X airwaves in 1998 and forced his bosses to let him play metal on the air in 2005 when he started NO CONTROL Radio. In 2017, 101X sadly decided they would go a different direction, not metal, and 93.7 KLBJ gave him a new home on the radio.
Now you can hear metal on the air five nights a week with Midnight Metal every weeknight on KLBJ and 24/7 on his NO CONTROL Radio HD2 all-metal channel. Chuck appears in several music videos, Bloody and Bruised, some things he’d rather not see on the internet and also with his barbershop quartet. (no shit, he sings a cappella music too, wtf?) Chuck is old as dirt, and not much better looking, but has great taste in music.
